While several Dota 2 heroes made their debuts in DOTA Dragon's Blood, Marci's addition to the game after her appearance on the show marked the MOBA anime's first original playable hero.

With DOTA Dragon's Blood Book 2 now available, even more eligible candidates - and badasses - have thrown their hats into the ring. Now, it's no longer implausible to consider that soon, you could be playing one of your favorite characters from the show. Who could be the next Dota 2 anime hero?

Kaden

Kaden is a legendary name in the Dragon's Blood universe. Reputed to be the strongest Dragon Knight, he is the only person known to have defeated each of the eight types of dragons.

In addition to his experience, he also has some interesting skills. His gear on the show was forged from the remains of dragons, according to Dragon's Blood creator Ashley Edward Miler, which explains his supernatural strength and quickness in battle. These could be exciting starting points for his skills in the game.

Kaden's Blade is already an item in the auto battler spin-off, Dota Underlords. It wouldn't take much longer for the man to join in the war of the Ancients, and perhaps claim a few more dragon scalps along the way.

Vinari

The mysterious Vinari is often the star of Dragon's Blood, despite her relative lack of screen time. She's a ruthlessly efficient hitman, but there's more to her than meets the eye.

In a surprise reveal, Vinari shows Luna her true face while she is in battle, with a terrifying, jagged mouth that splits into three.

Her golden arrows would be a signature skill. Turning an enemy into lifeless statues can be too strong an effect in the game, but we'll leave it to IceFrog to figure out how to balance the numbers.

Whether as a demon or an assassin, Vinari would be a chilling addition to Dota 2.

selemene

As the goddess of the fervent Order of the Dark Moon, Dota 2 fans would have been familiar with Selemene's name long before the anime came out, with Mirana and Luna constantly mentioning her. And fans of Artifact (RIP) would remember one of the strongest cards out there in the card game, Incarnation of Selemene.

That hasn't changed in the anime as Selemene is one of the most important and powerful characters. Her status as one of the real goddesses of the Dota world would probably spark fascinating conversations with the likes of Zeus and Mars, if she ever came to the game.

As for her abilities, aside from the obvious lunar abilities, her lotuses would be an excellent addition to her kit. As a symbol and catalyst for her power, the thematic abilities around lotuses would create unique images.

fymryn

Along with Marci, Fymryn was probably one of the most anticipated characters on the show to become a Dota 2 hero. He's grown tremendously over the anime's run, and it looks like he'll continue to be a pivotal character in a possible Dragon's Blood 3 book.

In addition to her overall cuteness that caused people to spam her online fan art of her, her abilities on the show could make him an elusive character suitable for varied playstyles.

Fymryn displays a dizzying array of powers in Dragon's Blood: short-range teleportation, clone creation, true sight, and even shapeshifting. So yes, if you want to be Naruto in Dota 2, your best bet would be the elf ninja.

Viceroy Kashurra of the Helio Imperium was a good-natured old man one second and an energetic Void Dragon the next. Also, his Dota 2 hero could be the same.

Transformation heroes like Lone Druid, Lycan, and Dragon Knight in Dota 2 often buff their basic abilities, but they are mostly limited to buffing numbers or buffing their physical stats.

Kashurra could be a transformation mage that completely changes his abilities. The Viceroy could be a supporting character in his human form, before transforming into a fearsome dragon capable of unleashing a full offensive barrage. With new heroes now often experimenting with new mechanics, this can be a unique archetype for Kashurra.
