In patch 4.0, which will be released later today, VALORANT players can enjoy a reduced ranking penalty when playing with a stack of five and increased card randomness.

Playing with a full team on VALORANT can be a fun experience that prevents players from collaborating with random teammates. Previously, players suffered a 50 percent penalty in the rankings for playing in Diamond two or less in five stacks. This made it difficult to level up as a group, which took away some of the fun.

But patch 4.0 reduces the ranking penalty from 50 percent to 25 percent, which means that players will see more progress as they join a group. It also means they lose a little more RR if they fight or lose, but it's still a smaller amount.

Patch 4.0 also increases card randomness, which means that players should experience more cards instead of playing the same card repeatedly. This doesn't always prevent players from playing the same card, but it should improve the overall experience.

The new patch will introduce Neon, VALORANT's exciting new duelist, and notable changes to Bind and Breeze. Several weapons, including Specter and Guardian, will receive updates in patch 4.0 that will change the way players approach the Save or Echo rounds. Fans can read all the changes in the official patch notes.

The popular Widejoy gamer card is also confirmed to arrive in patch 4.01, so enjoy the iconic card while you can.
