With an update released by Valve today, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has faced several major changes. The size of the update is approx. 1 GB.

Operation Broken Fang that began on December 3, 2020, has concluded. Ancient has replaced Train in the Active Duty map pool and the developers have introduced Snakebite Case with 17 new skins.

Users who have not yet completed their missions can do so until May 15th and claim the rewards as well. The view models of the chickens have apparently received a "visual upgrade." With Train moving to the Reserve party, several new maps have been added for the scrimmage, casual, deathmatch, and wingman mode.

Valve has also added a premium subscription service called CS: GO 360 Stats for users who want to continue viewing wingman and competitive stats like they did during Operation Broken Fang. The subscription, similar to DotA +, is worth $ 1 per month.

Several users are outraged by the removal of Train, rather than Mirage, from the Active Duty map pool and the inclusion of CS: GO 360 Stats that critics say should be accessible for nothing.

The Snakebite case has the Broken Fang Case gloves as special rare items. The update also brings improved security and stabilizes the game. Various maps, including Nuke, Ancient, and Frostbite, have also received minor adjustments.

CSGO Map Pool:

  • Dust 2
  • Mirage
  • Overpass
  • Inferno
  • Vertigo
  • Nuke
  • Ancient

  • Operation Broken Fang has come to an end. Players with unredeemed Operation Stars will have until May 15 to claim their Operation Rewards.
  • Introducing CS: GO 360 Stats - a subscription service for players who want to continue collecting official Competitive and Wingman statistics.
  • Premier Competitive is still available to all players with the selection / blocking procedure in the entire card pool of the Active Duty Group.
  • Replays are still available and have been moved to Wargames.
