Call of Duty: Warzone has officially passed 100 million players worldwide for the first time since its launch on March 10, 2020.

Activision rarely updates its player base based on the total number of active players entering Verdansk to fight. However, we do know that Warzone had been downloaded more than 80 million times by October 2020.

The game has also maintained a strong presence on Twitch, ranking as the fifth most popular game on the platform for the past month, according to Twitchmetrics. It has averaged more than 105,062 viewers and peaked at nearly 319,000 viewers in the past 30 days.

This news comes just one day before Operation: Rapid Sunder, the game's next big event taking place on April 21.

"The Central Armistice Command will communicate directly with all Operators with further instructions, beginning at 12 pm Pacific time on April 21," said a recent blog post. "Please return to the Call of Duty blog and Warzone for updates that day."

In recent weeks, zombies have taken over the Warzone map, which likely means this will be a clean-up operation of some kind to try and eliminate the threat for good.
