It's unclear when the role will change.

Riot Games is considering extending the remake period on VALORANT to allow players to find new matches, the company announced in its latest Ask VALORANT blog post today. Players can also see agent-specific keybindings in the future.

The match remake feature allows players to end a game early if one of their teammates leaves the match or goes crazy. At this time, players can only redo in the second round, which is not always ideal, as players will often go AFK in later rounds.

Riot was strict with the design of the initial remake to prevent players from abusing the matchmaking system, but it's clear that the system needs improvement. The developers confirmed in the latest Ask VALORANT blog post that they are considering multiple options to improve the feature. This includes a longer redo window, an automated redo feature, and more clarity when a redo occurs rather than surrender.

At this time, there is no date for the rollout of these options, but fans can look forward to more updates in the future.

The blog post also mentioned agent-specific keybindings, which is an option that many gamers have asked about. Some players use multiple agents based on maps or other situations and each agent has unique abilities. Customizing the keybindings for each agent can help players to use the character more efficiently, but there is still no option to customize for each agent.

Riot didn't provide a specific time frame for when this option will be added, but the developers expect a version of this to appear in episode three.

Other players asked about a shorter agent select time in Spike Rush, but Riot has no intention of changing this at this time. More information on the remake and the agent-specific keybindings will likely be released in the future.
