Glitchpop is back, but this time with good weapons. "

The Valorant developers took to the popular YouTube channel HITSCAN to discuss the new line of aspects of the game with RyanCentral and Mysca. Glitchpop 2.0 is a continuation of a previous line of weapon skins, but this time with entirely new weapon skins. This includes skins for Vandal, Phantom, Operator, and other popular and powerful weapons.

According to the developers, the initial line of Glitchpop focused on creating rhythm and a beat to fire up the cadence. This excluded many automatic weapons. But the developers realized that this "alienated three of the top tier weapons." Glitchpop 2.0 is an opportunity for players to enjoy this popular line of skins with more popularly purchased weapons.

Even before the first Glitchpop line came out a year ago, the developers already knew that they would make more Glitchpop skins because they knew that gun skins weren't for popular weapons. As expected, Valorant fans said the weapon skins "sucked," but the developers were silent on their plan to create even more Glitchop weapons in an upcoming bundle.

"Oh, just wait," joked one developer.

The Riot developers also admitted that they internally called the Glitchpop 1.1 skin line as it is "the same Glitchpop that people loved on the first release but now with more weapons." Glitchpop 2.0, as fans know it, also includes new friends, sprays, and cards.

Glitchpop Weapon Skin Pack 2.0 Now Available on Valorant

Glitchpop weapon skins will be available to purchase from the in-game store or by leveling up the Valorant Battle Pass. The pack will be available in the market every two weeks, with five new weapon skins for some of the most popular weapons in the game.

The Glitchpop 2.0 package is priced at 8,700 PV, which is by no means cheap. But this is what the package will offer players:

  • Glitchpop Vandal
  • Glitchpop Phantom
  • Glitchpop Operator
  • Glitchpop Classic
  • Glitchpop Axe

In the video above, the developers showed an update to the Glitchpop Ax that includes an out-of-this-world gear animation. Each side of the blade is a different color each time, appearing like a neon razor.

"We used the same style for these, but the animations are much clearer this time. At level 3, you will feel a significant difference with the animation. The audio is very, very good. Specifically the Vandal," noted one developer.

Glitchpop 2.0

Players of Valorant have already started discussing just how "smart investment" the pack is, as it includes the most widely used weapons in the game. While it's definitely an exciting release for many players, others noted that the weapons still don't justify the high price.

As the debate continues within the Valorant community, there is still no denying that Glitchpop 2.0 is an addition to the game that most players appreciate.
