GuardiaN is back on the market.

Legendary AWPer Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács is back on the CS:GO market. The Slovak sniper has been released from his contract with Natus Vincere and has officially entered free agency.

In his announcement, GuardiaN said that he is open to "any offer" and that he is willing to "back down [his] path to high-level events." This approach and mindset emulate the letter he wrote to Dexerto in September after being sent to Na'Vi.

GuardiaN's second season with Natus Vincere in late 2019 came to a quick end in early 2020 when he struggled to serve on the AWP for his old team. He was installed on behalf of Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, and the duties of AWPing were transferred to superstar Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev. GuardN says that he has been working on his solo game non-stop since he was benched and states that he is ready to return to CS:GO and break the Major curse from him.

You don't have to go too far back to see GuardiaN at his best. During his time with FaZe Clan from late 2017 to 2018, GuardiaN's AWPing was a critical part of that team's success. Before that, he was the pillar of Na'Vi for nearly four years. He was one of the top 20 players in the world, according to HLTV, for six consecutive years from 2013 to 2018.

GuardiaN's "Great Curse" refers to the three times he has reached a major Major finale only to come up short in the final series. This happened in consecutive Majors at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca 2015 and MLG Columbus with Na'Vi, then FaZe at ELEAGUE Boston 2018.
