CSGO UPDATE BRINGS RMR STICKERS; REGULATIONS AND ECONOMIC CHANGES IN THE GAME

Valve has released a new CSGO update this morning that brings RMR Stickers (Regional Major Ranking) for the 2020 circuit. These stickers are for the teams that have qualified for ESL One Rio Major based on the points they have accumulated in the tournament's classification.


In addition, the RMR ranking of the leaderboard for 2021 will now be reset and teams that had Legend status in previous versions of the Major will head to the new year rankings circuit with 600 points.


Valve has also shed light on viewer exploitation with this update, where some of the coaches involved were banned for life.

The organizational structure of a team is also affected by this new regulation from Valve, where managers will no longer be able to be present with the active roster during the game. A rule, which has been highly criticized by the CSGO community on social networks.

The rules not only prohibit managers from being present, but team support personnel will also not be able to communicate with active players for any reason.


Another segment of the update covers economic changes to the game. A minor, but significant, change has been made to Wingman and Competitive ranked games, where all team members with a player deficit will be awarded $ 1000 for three consecutive rounds.

Also, time-outs will be applied automatically if a player disconnects from either team. The game will instantly resume when the player joins, even if the duration of the timeout remains.

There have also been changes to the Elysion map, which can be found below in the patch notes for the latest update.

CSGO UPDATE 27TH JANUARY 2021 RELEASE NOTES:

[RMR 2020 stickers]

- Team stickers with the top-performing regional teams in the 2020 regional ranking are now available. 50% of proceeds go to the teams that participated in the RMR 2020.


[HOW TO PLAY]

- In Competitive and Wingman, if your team has fewer players than the opposing team for 3 or more consecutive rounds in the middle, each of your team members will receive an "Insufficient Personnel Loser Income" of $ 1000 after a round defeat. This does not apply in cases where a player has been kicked.

- In Competitive and Wingman, each team has a technical timeout of 2 minutes that will automatically start the first time a teammate disconnects. The time-out will end prematurely if the teammate leaves or reconnects to the game.

- Added the cover client to control the automatic behavior of the parachute. Set cl_parachute_autodeploy 0 to disable automatic parachute activation.


[MAPS]

Elysion:

-Outside

-Fixed a push point near the entrance to Site A.

-Fixed pixel pitch on door hinges (both doors).

-Improves the ceiling cutout.

-Grenades now bounce more predictably off the wall.


-A place

-Improves clipping in sign A.

-Fixed a pixel hike at the top of the wall.

-Fixed a hole in the center wall on site.

-Grenades now bounce more predictably off sign A, Elysion sign, wall art, wall in socket, wall in site, and posts that connect to the ceiling.


-Main room

Grenades now bounce more predictably off artwork and paint.


-Medium

-Fixed a boost point where players could jump over waterfalls.

-Fixed a pixel hike in the lower levels of the middle.

-Fixed pixel hike on lamps (not sure how it would stand up, but can't trust anyone).

Grenades will now bounce more predictably from gray posts set into the wall, the wall with the falls, and the wall near T-spawn.


-CT spawning

-Fixed pixel hike on clock (clock has become non-solid).

-Fixed a pixel hike on the glass wall.


-T spawn

-Fixed pixel hike on clock (clock has become non-solid).

-It is no longer possible to jump on top of the light on the desktop.

-Generally improved clipping.
