Place Stars in Astral Form (X)

ACTIVATE a star to transform it into a nebula (smoke).

Use (F) on a star to dispel it, returning the star to place in a new location after a delay.

Dissipate briefly forms a false nebula at the star's location before returning.

ACTIVATE to enter the astral form where you can place stars with PRIMARY FIRE. The stars can later be reactivated and converted into a Nova Pulse, Nebula, or Gravity Well.

When the Cosmic Division charges up, use SECONDARY FIRE in Astral Form to start targeting, then PRIMARY FIRE to select two locations. An infinite cosmic chasm connects the two points you have chosen. Cosmic Divide blocks bullets and very much muffles the audio.

During the Astra development process, the Riot team wanted to capture an idea known as "a controller thinking about the whole map," according to Jordan "Riot Wrekz" Anton, Riot designer.

In a Developer Quote, Jordan stated,

“With Astra, we wanted to make a controller that thought of the whole map. Its global presence was there from the beginning. From there, the adjustment was finding the right skills to balance predicting enemy actions and reacting to changing game circumstances. We love that Astra has a (literally) different perspective on the map, and from that top-down view, naturally begins to think of all the different ways a round could go and how to account for them. However, you can't always be in the driver's seat dictating the flow of a round, so giving him some ability to react and change his plan was critical, albeit dangerous, as it left your physical body vulnerable. We wanted the expression of his ability to be about gathering information and turning it into a plan, where the execution phase is less about precisely targeting a grenade throw and more about seeing if his reading on the enemy combines as expected.”
