It's just a few quick steps.

There are tons of reasons you might want to change your data center to the Rainbow Six Siege. Perhaps you are broadcasting and want to distance yourself from the people you think are attacking you. Maybe you just want to queue with a friend from far away. Whatever your reasoning, there is a quick and easy way to do it.

Changing your data center in Rainbow Six Siege is relatively simple if you are on a PC. Unfortunately for those on the console, it is strictly against Ubisoft policy as of September 2019.

For PC users, it is all presented here on the Ubisoft support website.

First, open your File, Explorer. From there, go to C: \ Users \\ Documents \ My Games \ Rainbow Six - Siege \ UplayID.

If you have played on multiple Ubisoft accounts, you will see multiple folders containing a long alphanumeric string. Delete the folders and then start the game from your account.

Right-click on the “GameSettings.ini” file which should appear in the place of the long alphanumeric string folders, then click Open With and then Notepad. By scrolling to the bottom of the text, you will see all the data center options.

Below the data center options, there will be a line that says "DataCenterHint = playfab / default". Change the text that says "default" to the data center of your choice. Save the file.

Upon restarting the game, you can check whether or not it was successful by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner of your screen.

That's! Changing your data center in Rainbow Six Siege on PC only takes a little work. It can be a bit tedious the first time, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.
